Corbett Community Library gives to the Community, Gifts in Wills give back
Would you like to be there for the next generation of users of the Corbett Community Library (CCL)? Celebrate everything the CCL gives us with a gift in your will. The CCL gives us so much and there’s a special way to celebrate all the support they give us. By leaving a gift to CCL in your Will, you’ll help us give much needed funds to keep the CCL open for future generations and the years ahead. Jacky Berry, a Trustee and volunteer off CCL, has done just this. She says “our much loved community Library is always looking at ways to support its funding to keep it open, vibrant and relevant to the community. Sadly, without funding, future generations may not experience this. I have left a gift in my Will to support the future existence of this wonderful community Service.” So, leave a gift in your Will for the CCL to be there long into the future and our community. Thank you.

Qigong Class under our Dome
Wellness Wednesdays
We are excited to announce we are hoping to launch ‘Wellness Wednesdays’ which will be a full program of activity around health and wellbeing here at the library. This could include anything from fitness and dance classes, counselling, art and crafts, work with children and families, bereavement support, nutrition and more.
We hope to launch after Easter with a full schedule of classes, including treatments or other one-to-one sessions in our small meeting room. This wonderful day of wellness will go ahead it we can fil enough space to make it worthwhile opening for the day.
If you are interested in running a session, we currently have space under our dome from 3.30-9pm, in our meeting room 12-1 and 5.30-6.30 and several slots in our small treatment room which is ideal for one-to-one sessions like Reiki, massage or beauty therapy. Please contact Rachel for more information and to book a slot.
Volunteer interviews: Brian and Sue S

Brian
Why did you decide to volunteer here? To give back as I originally took my mum to the dementia group here which was a great support to both her and me. I have since found out how wonderful the library is – everything they offer from singing and storytime to writers’ groups and book clubs. It’s the best library I’ve known, and I like to think that each volunteer is adding something to it.
What’s your favourite thing about volunteering here? Under 5s Songtime (on a Monday morning, 9:30-10am and 10:15-10:45am)
Can you sum up the library in three words? Community, excellent volunteer ethos, help for people in need
Why would you recommend the library? I’ve always loved books from a young age and enjoy writing, so it’s under my umbrella of places to go. The best library I’ve known.
Sue S
Why did you decide to volunteer here? I’d just moved here and didn’t know anyone, and it seemed a good way to get to know people.
What’s your favourite thing about volunteering here? It’s enjoyable and sociable.
Can you sum up the library in three words? Welcoming, friendly, lots going on
Why would you recommend the library? It’s a really good community resource.
Volunteer needed
